A little care can help keep your Sterling Hearts ring looking its best.

Different metals have different characteristics, so always check the product description to see whether your ring is sterling silver or stainless steel.

Sterling Silver Care

Sterling silver naturally reacts with its environment and may tarnish over time. Tarnish is normal and does not mean your sterling silver is damaged or poor quality.

• Remove your ring before swimming, bathing, cleaning, exercising, or activities that may expose it to chemicals or impact.
• Avoid direct contact with lotions, perfumes, hairspray, household cleaners, chlorine, and other chemicals.
• For routine cleaning, gently wipe the silver with a soft jewelry polishing cloth.
• Store your ring clean and dry in a jewelry pouch, box, or sealed bag when you're not wearing it.

Stainless Steel Care

Stainless steel is durable and generally more resistant to tarnishing and everyday moisture than sterling silver, but it still benefits from proper care.

• Clean with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Avoid harsh chemicals, chlorine, bleach, and abrasive cleaners.
• Remove your ring during activities where it could be scratched, bent, or struck.
• Store separately from other jewelry when possible to help prevent scratches.
